Green Initiatives

R&K ownership & management feels that everyone needs to do their part in conserving natural resources and reducing their carbon footprint. Here are a few of the things R&K has done or is doing:

• Recycle wood cutoffs, paper, etc.

• Recycle the metal from aluminum windows that we replace.

• Installed electrical filters for the whole facility to reduce energy consumption by over 15%.

• Maintain a program that encourages our employees to walk, bike, ride the bus, or carpool to work.

• Retrofitted all of our buildings with appropriate levels of insulation and with energy efficient doors & windows.

• Transitioned its computers to thin client devices that consume 50% less energy than a normal computer and outputs significantly less heat than the average desktop computer.
